Twelve seconds after the match began, Leo fell. Legs a-twitch, glazed eyes staring.
“Will he be alright Master?” Don poked Leo’s eyelid, no response.
“Yes, my son. He is merely stunned. I hope you all understood today’s lesson.”
“Yes Master. Unfettered pride is a weakness.”
“And there ain’t no favoured son in this dojo, or family.” added Mike, relief hinted in his smile.
Splinter gave a sage nod.
“What about Raph, Sensei?”
“Raphael will learn an additional lesson in due course; you cannot run forever.” |
